LANTERNVALE is a slow, warm exploration game about finishing someone else's map.

You are Wren, nineteen, an apprentice mapmaker with a brass compass, a half-blank field journal, and one note from your mentor Alda: "Finish the map. Light the towers. Come home by the long way."

The five signal towers of Lantern Vale went dark one by one, and the guild says the lamps are broken. Walk the valley and you'll learn better. You'll meet Wewake the shepherd and his ram Clover, Meera the botanist and her glowing charts, Vipul the retired ferryman, Dev the innkeeper (eat the stew), and Shivangi, the valley's only bridge-keeper. You'll fix a footbridge, align old signal mirrors, and decide — at the fourth tower, in the dark, with the valley breathing blue beneath you — what the map is actually for.

What's here:

- A living valley: 24-minute day/night cycle and real weather — rain swells the river, fog hides landmarks, night wakes the deep-light blooms

- A travel journal that fills in as you walk — hand-drawn map, compendium (12 flora, 8 fauna, 6 echoes, 10 vistas), pinned photos

- Photo mode — some entries can only be logged with a photo

- Gentle environmental puzzles — boulders, water channels, mirrors, bridge repair. Nothing timed, nothing you can fail

- Five villagers, five questlines (19 story stages), one tracked Kindness stat

- Five towers to relight — each one changes the valley at night

- Four endings, decided by how you walked, not how fast

- A rite at every tower — small ceremonies, each with its own story

- Alda's journal: nine lost pages that rewrite what you thought you knew

- Quiet moments — a fox at dawn, rain on the bridge, stars over the overlook. The valley notices when you're paying attention

- Narrated story moments — a warm human voice at every tower rite and key beat (16 clips, toggleable in Settings; silent mode fully supported)

- Seeded procedural valley — the seed is shown; same seed, same walk

What's not here: enemies, health bars, game overs, timers, or any reason to hurry. A full walkthrough takes most players 90–120 unhurried minutes; new seeds and 4 endings make every walk different.
